The story so far.

The year is 2087. The world as we know it ended in atomic fire in the year 2077, ten years prior. Some refugees hid in underground vaults, deep below the earth. When they opened, their inhabitants set out across ruins of the old world to build new societies, establish new villages, form new tribes. Others survived the fire by mere luck, or turned into irradiated ghouls.

Note that the Fallout world is not our own, but rather one that has diverged from ours soon after World War II. So, while it takes place in the future, it is not our future, but a future as imagined in traditional 1950s science fiction.

This story follows a group called the Brotherhood of Steel, an quasi-religious organization with roots in the U.S. Army. They are based out of Lost Hills, a secure bunker in southern California.
