Jeannette Anderson

Jeannette was born to George Anderson and his wife, Rising Moon roughly 27 years ago. Her father was a resident of Vault 15 who was exceptional with a pistol. He left the other Vault Dwellers they merged with primitive tribes after exiting their Vault. Eventually, after years of aimless wandering, George found his way back home, and met a beautiful tribal huntress, Rising Moon. They married and had Jeannette not long after. George insisted that she be given a normal name, and her mother wanted her to be raised tribal, so a compromise was met. Her name to the tribe was Setting Sun, though to her father, she was Jeannie. Rising Moon died during childbirth, however and this once again caused George to wander.

George raised Jeannette to be a gunslinger like he was, and she took to it like a moth to flame. Jeannette would lose her father at sixteen, when they encountered their former tribe, who had become the Khans. They briefly integrated into their society, as George hoped to quell their violent nature. Jeannette, a hot-tempered teenager, agreed with the Khan's new, brutal ideals. She convinced Death's Hand to begin his sweep of the wasteland, believing that they could take what they want. Her father disagreed, and was killed in front of her. She left the Khans, in anger, clutching her father's revolver.

Three years passed and many outlaws, bandits, and a few small raider armies had fallen to Jeannette, now calling herself Setting Sun's six shooter. The last thing they would see was the light streaking off of her golden locks. Fate would have it, that she would encounter the Khans. She challenged Death's Hand's second, a former friend of George, and a Vault Dweller to a duel. This man, Tseng, responded by shooting her in the gut, mid-sentence, and then claimed her father's revolver. She was beaten and brutally tortured by the Khans before being left to rot in the desert.

A traveling Doctor named Scott Templeman found her and brought her back to health. Over the next eight years, he convinced her to settle down and be his wife. Jeannette, who had dyed her hair brown and assumed her real name, agreed. Scott made her promise not to carry her pistol belt, and only use a small gun for self-defense. In exchange for her swearing off gunslinging, he taught her first aid and surgery.

Her happiness wouldn't last. The two's small homestead in southwest California was beset by crazed junkies, who had heard that George had drugs and medical supplies stored in their home. George was stabbed in the jugular and Jeannette had to leave him behind as their home burned around them. She walked the Wastes, eventually reaching Sunnyside and becoming the town's doctor...

The Doctor in Sunnyide is a young woman who calls herself Jeannie. She greets people with a smile and is quite good at her craft. She was seen outside the saloon being harassed by some Dusters visiting the town. Three gunshots were heard after that and she could be seen standing over three dead Dusters, clutching a .38 revolver.
